Hi there! Today I’m sharing my One Little Word® exercise for February.
I loved the prompt for this month! I’m always up for making a vision board. I love cutting up magazines, finding words and pictures that speak to me, and making something out of it. This year my 10 year old daughter even got involved, which was a lot of fun. I was surprised by how much she really “got it.” She seemed to know just exactly the words that I would want to cut out. She also loved gluing it all down to the canvas.
I used a 16×20 canvas that I bought at Michaels…pretty inexpensively, too. I wanted to go big with this one because I knew I’d find more to cut out than would realistically fit on the canvas. I was right. Even with a canvas this big, I still had leftovers.
I did not follow Ali’s advice on using a spray adhesive…I sort of jumped right in when I saw the activity was creating a vision board. I used mod podge, and I don’t love how wrinkled my pieces are. That being said, though, I love my board!
I also ordered my word from Colleen Attara. I’m so glad I did this, too! I love it! I also really loved her packaging and the small details she included, like confetti hearts and a handwritten message. I love when business owners take the time to put love into their packaging.
So I’m rather pleased with how this turned out. It seems from the words I chose to put on my board I need to spend some time traveling and taking loads of photos! I also need to make time for being still and quiet. I can absolutely live with that! Now I just need to make it happen.
